The foster care system can
be scary and chaotic for a child. A Court Appointed Special
Advocate (CASA)® is often the one caring adult who
remains consistent with a child as he or she journeys
through the child protective system. Become a CASA volunteer.
Make a difference in a child's life. And your own.
It is the mission of CASA of Bastrop County to provide
a trained community volunteer for every abused and neglected
child in our court system. The volunteer speaks for the
right of each child to have a safe, permanent, loving
home. We educate the community on child abuse and neglect,
emphasizing the importance of nurturing, healthy families.
CASA volunteers are everyday
citizens judges appoint to advocate for the safety and
well-being of children who have been removed from their
homes due to parental abuse and neglect. They stand up
for these children and change their lives.
Nationwide CASA volunteers have
helped more than two million children find safe, permanent
homes.
