CASA of Bastrop, Inc. serves abused and neglected children
in Bastrop, Lee and Fayette counties.
Our goal is to provide a CASA volunteer for every child
who needs an advocate.
CASA of Bastrop currently represents 221 abused and neglected
children in Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties.
70% of these children have volunteers on their cases, but
additional volunteers are needed, so all of the children
we serve may be given the time, attention and court advocacy
each one deserves.
Volunteering for any organization can be fulfilling, but
providing assistance for this particular segment of children
can be life-changing. Your commitment can be anywhere from
a 1-2 hours a
week up to as much as you are willing to give. Take one
case with one child ... or several cases with multiple kids
each. As a CASA volunteer, you get to choose.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CASA VOLUNTEER?
The foster care system can
be scary and chaotic for a child. A Court Appointed Special
Advocate (CASA)® is often the one caring adult who
remains consistent with a child as he or she journeys
through the child protective system. Become a CASA volunteer.
Make a difference in a child's life. And your own.
It is the mission of CASA of Bastrop County to provide
a trained community volunteer for every abused and neglected
child in our court system. The volunteer speaks for the
right of each child to have a safe, permanent, loving
home. We educate the community on child abuse and neglect,
emphasizing the importance of nurturing, healthy families.
CASA volunteers are everyday
citizens judges appoint to advocate for the safety and
well-being of children who have been removed from their
homes due to parental abuse and neglect. They stand up
for these children and change their lives.
Nationwide CASA volunteers have
helped more than two million children find safe, permanent
